The article analyzes the prospects and challenges of teaching English in a blended learning environment. The purpose of the article is to show the specific challenges of teaching English in a blended learning environment and to offer prospects for their solution. The study uses general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, as well as case study and content analysis methods, which allow us to take an in-depth look at the current state of English language teaching, identify the main trends and problems related to the integration of traditional and distance learning. The results of the study showed that blended learning, which is a synthesis of online and face-to-face classes, has gained particular importance during times of crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and military conflicts. This system has proved to be flexible, although it has revealed several weaknesses in the process of teaching English.
